On May 5th 2001 crystalformz.co.uk was born. It started as a very basic site with a few downloads, pictures and reviews with a Bands, DnB and Hip Hop section. The site at this point recieved approx. 30 hits a day and consisted of a very small customer base due to the limited amount of people with knowledge of the internet.

Later that year on Friday 23rd November, the first event organised by crystalformz in the 21st century was launched at the Boxing Club, Reading featuring Rapid, C4, Vinyl, Jawz, Alpha6, Gee, Quatty Mout, Neil Mac, Shifty and special guests DJ Sly and Shadee MC from dnbstreet. This led to a second event on Friday 21 December featuring Kenny Ken.

Both events were a hit and led crystalformz into 2002 that saw a whole series of events from the Boxing Club, Chumleys, Litten Tree, Cotton Club and the Roebuck Hotel.

In 2002 crystalformz hosted a fund raising event called the "Robbie Brooker Tribute" in honour of a lost Drum 'n' Bass soldier who died in a tradgic car accident in tilehurst. We raised £2000 at this event for Headway Trust, an organisation that provides support to car crash survivors.

2003 saw another fund rasing event for Robbie which was another sell out event raising more than £1800 for Headway.

This year also saw a couple of gigs hosted at The Forum Bar, Reading (Jungle Monkeys) as we struggled to find a new venue for our events.
